Positive Displacement Type Vacuum Producers:
Hibon SIAV Series Typical Setup

Typical Letter of Quotation HIBON High Vacuum SIAV Series

The vacuum producer shall be an HIBON high performance positive displacement type blower, model SIAV 822. This vacuum producer shall be belt driven with a 200 Hp TEFC 1800 RPM 460/3/60 premium efficiency motor and shall generate 2200 icfm @ 15.0 inches Hg. (design @ 83 BHP) and 28" Hg. Max continuous, without overheating (143 BHP).

This exhauster shall be equipped with the following:

• heavy duty cast and machined casing with self cooling air intake plenum

• noise efficient, tri-lobe type steel impellers

• one (1) belts, sheaves, and belt guard

• one (1) 10" silencer for exhaust

• one (1) 10" manifold cooling air intake silencer

• three (3) 10" vibration isolation pipe sleeves for intake and exhaust

• one (1) TECHNOCHEC 4" check valve on exhaust

• one (1) lot manifolded oil drain lines

The vacuum producer skid shall be supplied with an effective sound enclosure to ensure that the radiated system noise does not exceed 80 dBa at full load. This enclosure shall be equipped as follows:

• one (1) DELHI 2000 cfm cooling fan with thermostat control

• four (1) service access hinged doors

• two (2) removable end panels

• fabricated from 16 Ga. Galvanized sheet metal with 4" sound attenuating material

The inline filter shall be a DUROVAC 22" horizontal type. This filter shall be suitable for high vacuum and shall be equipped with the following accessory devices pre-installed:

• two (2) cellulose media cartridge filter each with 300 square feet of filter area

• one (1) ASHCROFT liquid filled vacuum gauge, 0 - 100 kPa, 100 mm dial

• one (1) DWYER #2020 0 - 20" WG manometer across filters

• one (1) DWYER #1950-20 0 - 20" WG pressure switch across filters

• one (1) NIBCO 4" butterfly valve with pneumatic actuator (reduced idle valve)

• one (1) ASCO ¼" 4-way solenoid valve, NEMA 4 for above pneumatic valve

• one (1) STODDARD 6" F64-6 intake filter silencer

Included above is our exclusive "Reduced Idle Device". This device automatically bleeds air into the system when it detects that no operators are using the system (completely programmable). This device is exclusive to Northwind Air Systems and provides the following benefits:

• reduces the amperage draw by approximately HALF when no operators are using the system

• extends expected service life of the vacuum producer by lowering its average load conditions

• reduces high exhaust temperature shut downs in the summer

• it allows operators to easily open inlet valves
