Methods for Joining Fittings

Expanded Ends Light Wall under 6"Ø

This type of connection enables a straight section of tubing to slip inside the expanded end of the fitting.  The two pieces can then be locked together by any one of several techniques: brazing, welding, or heat shrink sleeves. 

Slip Couplings Light Wall up to 14"Ø

Can be used for joining any two straight ends of tubing or fittings.  The slip coupling is a solid sleeve that fits the O.D. of the joint which can then be brazed, welded, or covered by a shrink sleeve.

Shrink Sleeves Light Wall Installation

Here's our preferred method for joining light conveying networks up to 4"Ø.  These are heat shrinkable polyolefin bands that shrink to provide excellent mechanical strength and a positive vacuum seal.  Use over expanded ends and slip couplings.

Compression Couplings

Our choice joining heavy wall piping systems and tubing 5"Ø and over.  This join offers easy tear down.  Straight ends butt together and mechanically lock simply by tightening the included nuts and bolts.
