Application Data

The premier industrial flapgate valve. Use to replace rotary type air lock valves in applications with highly abrasive materials, or where odd shaped debris causes rotary valves to plug.

It is recommended that this valve not be closed against a solid column; it is not suitable for use as a feeder.

A Dutchman or spool piece can be supplied to enable greater capacity.   Cycling is fully automatic and adjustable.

Features

  • Special design eliminates jamming under normal conditions

  • Flaps and seals of long wearing Ni-hard can be repeatedly re-ground for extended service life

  • Self flushing linkage designed to permit passage of surge-loads and eliminates plugged lines

  • Unique side access cover permits cleaning, service, and replacement without systems interruption

  • Outboard mounted shaft bearings permit air circulation and easy access to shaft seals for replacement

  • Standard operating temperatures to 450o F. Optionally available to 1600o F

  • Standard operating vacuum to 24" Hg

Use Plattco "S" Type valves where lower headroom is required.
