12 x 12" Rotary with
2 Hp Drive System

Rotary Airlock Feeders are used in pneumatic conveying systems, dust control equipment, and as volumetric feeders to maintain an even flow of material through processing systems.

The Roto-Flo valve is used as an airlock transition point, sealing pressurized systems against loss of air or gas while maintaining a flow of material between components with different pressures.

Roto-Flo units are also widely used as volumetric feeders for metering materials at precise flow rates from bins, hoppers or silos into conveying or processing systems.

Roto-Flo Rotary Airlock Feeders have wide application in industry wherever dry free-flowing powders, granules, crystals or pellets are used. Typical materials handled with Roto-Flo units include: cement, sugar, minerals, grains, plastics, dust, fly ash, flour, gypsum, lime, coffee, and cereals, etc.

Note: The rotary air lock supplied with your vacuum system will likely be fitted with "seal strips" on the rotor tips to provide a better vacuum seal while passing "unusual" shaped particulate with a higher reliability.

A closed end rotor will deliver about 10% less displacement in cu/ft per revolution. Vacuum systems are usually sized for 70% volumetric flow or less.

Standard Features Heavy Duty Series

Heavy Duty Flanges Provided to minimize possible distortion and pre-drilled to simplify installation
Air Tight Seal Close tolerance machining of internal mating surfaces to provide effective seal rated at 15 PSIG.
Pre-Lubricated Bearings Lifetime seal ball bearings for both standard and heavy duty type airlocks
Oversize Shaft Extra heavy duty to provide maximum torque. Automatic torque limited or shear pin
Full Flow Design Rectangular tapered inlet and outlet provides maximum flow to feeder and rotor pockets
Adjustable Packing Glands Heavy duty models are equipped with externally adjusted packing glands to prevent bearing contamination. Graphite impregnated asbestos is standard.
Rigid Mounting Bosses All models and all sizes have standard mounting bosses.
Cast Iron Construction Housing and head plates are of close grain cast iron construction for maximum structural stability.
High Capacity Rotors Six and eight vane open end rotors machined to close tolerance are standard.
